Dream Islands?

Idyllic, paradisiac, there’s no lack of superlatives to describe the jewels of the Indian Ocean: Mauritius and Rodrigues Islands.

However, the reality is somewhat crueller: Mauritus is damaged by uncontrolled tourist development and is also affected by global warming. Rodrigues, further north, is spared large-scale urban development but the island is getting thirsty! It doesn’t rain anymore and the increasingly violent cyclones are devastating the coastline.

Accompanied by ‘’The man who dances with moray eels’’ and large marine animals, sperm whales, sharks and moray eels, we experience everyday life alongside the locals of these islands who choose to preserve their piece of paradise!
